The Scot Hotel - Oban

Very good breakfast with various food choices. Incredibly helpful and hard-working staff, pleasant stay.

Had a really great stay here during our christmas. The hotel was a chilled-out base for enjoying a lovely area, near the centre of town, Scotland and the constant stream of traffic. The venue had a very central location and it was near St Columba's Cathedral. Besides, there was parking onsite.

The hotel is situated in direct proximity to the harbour, the distillery and other sights. All are within walking distance. The room and the hotel had a very good equipment and were visually appealing. The staff was also very friendly.

The guest bed for our daughter was not very high quality and made a well-done impression.

This was a fabulous stay of their visit. The location was great for walking around a Colosseum-like Victorian folly. And it was also near to everything, including late night walks on the esplanade, and shops bars and restaurants...

The staff was unapologetic.

Great central location, the room to the rear is highly recommended because the hotel is located on a busy road. Nice staff delicious breakfast, free parking.

Great stay in a perfect spot!

We stayed for 2 nights and loved the location. It was just right-close to shops and restaurants but still quiet. The room was comfy, and the shower had loads of hot water. The TV was a good size, but it did flicker on by itself a few times. Enjoyed the bar area with some nice drinks too!

Very clean and well equipped rooms. Friendly and helpful staff, thank you Attila! Neat bar. Good location.

The heating in the bathroom was a little too warm and could not be regulated. That's it :)

Food was terrible. Location was not to be recommended. In the middle of a back street in the town with constant traffic noise. Overflowing water? drain? in back yard where cars were parked. Had to walk through this to get to car. Not recommended. Only good point rooms were spotlessly clean. Overnight no other option stay hotel. Not worth the price charged better in a good edge of town bed and breakfast. The buffet breakfast hot plate meal was cold and uneatable. Food at night was steakhouse?? chips and whatever. Best thing I liked about this hotel was leaving it.

Great location. Breakfast perfect. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Perfect accommodation for Oban!!

Very comfortable, very convinient

The great location was right by St John's Cathedral.

Freshly (and chic) renovated, very friendly staff. Parking behind the house very good, location close to the port and therefore great.

Room was very small, we could not open our hard case completely. No storage space in the bathroom. At breakfast, for example more fresh fruit has been good.

I chose the Rowantree Hotel firstly because it was near to we were attending a function also because it had free off street parking and lastly was within our budget

We had a problem working out the heating system just as well it was a mild night also tv took a bit of getting our head around not the usual free view choices either! But on positive note we had a warm welcome.

The smell on the stairwell !!!!!!

It was just an appropriate option for a relaxing holiday in Oban with good value for cost. The room was large and comfortable with nice squishy carpets. Try Julie's down the road for better coffee options.
